I : I am so sorry to hear about your struggle with your skin. Since this has been going on for twenty years, if i recommend something that has been done or tried please forgive me. You need a complete allergy panel specifically for the area you live in. You should request skin and blood allergy testing. Have you tried Atarax (hydroxyzine) pills for itching? How about steroid injections every three months. Acupuncture? Acupressure? A daily anti-histamine wont hurt. Also consider cutting out gluten and monitor for any improvement. I hope you find relief soon.

Check bilirubin: Consult gastroenterologist to make sure that you don't have elevated bilirubin or biliary cirrhosis which can be associated with lupus.
