Is it okay to feed my daughter more less often? my 6 week old takes 3 to 3 1/2 oz every 2 hours. would it be okay to give her 4-6oz every 4-6 hours? i am trying to put her on a schedule for when i return to work.

Unless : Unless your child is a preemie, has growth problems or has a metabolic disorder, it is perfectly fine to start spacing her feedings to a more manageable schedule. Let her eat as much as she can without spitting and see how long she'll go before she insists on her next feeding. Many babies will start to automatically eat more and go longer between feedings between 4 to 8 weeks. Good luck!

4 hours : Try to space the feeds out, monitor the growth with your Pediatrician and an every 4 hour feeding at first is suggested.
