The : The tobacco might definitely irritate your throat and mouth after surgery, and could result in bleeding depending on how inflammed the mucosa is. I don't think it will have any effect on the sutures. Honestly i think this is a perfect time for you to quit chewing tobacco. You are so young and are almost guaranteed to get some form of oral cancer at some point in your life if you continue to chew. All the best.

You won't b for long: You may be healthy now, but if you are addicted to nicotine already, you are causing harm to your oral cavity, throat and heart. Chewing tobacco causes mouth, tongue and throat cancer, and resuming chewing will make it harder for your tonsils to heal properly. Stop now! talk to your health care provider if you need help stopping.
