Hello, i would like to know if i can sustain any brain injury from a vigorous shaking of the head backward and forward? i was shaking it in a vigorous manner (in the "yes" gesture, kind of headbanger's style), and acquired a slight headache in the forehea

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, : No, an adult could not injure their own brain by shaking it. If you hit your head against something, it could injure it. An individual could hurt someone elses's head (especially a child) by shaking that person, but you can't do it to yourself.
