YES: Yes... Due to blockage of the airway with tonsil swelling or increased nasal resistance with a cold. If it is just contributing to poor rest and fatigue during the day... No big deal... If it produces (cyanosis) - turning blue... Eval by the er is mandatory.

Absolutely: Any obstruction, short or long term, contributes. A great example is alcohol consumption and related snoring, or sleeping on ones back.

Yes: If the tonsils/adenoids swell enough they can cause sleep apnea. This is a common problem in the 1-6% of children with sleep apnea. Check with your doctor on having them removed.
