Varied reasons: Can be caused by multiple factors, or something completely different: vaginal stenosis, vulvodynia, vestibulitis, vaginismus, sexual trauma, physical abuse, lack of lubrication... Talk to your doctor about your concerns. The reason and the treatment maybe very simple.
