Does a woman who had a hysterectomy, need a pelvic exam and pap test?

Yes: A pap test looks for cervical cancer. If you had a full hysterectomy, it means you don't have a cervix and therefore can't get cervical cancer and you don't need a pap test. You will however need a pelvic exam, becuase that checks our pelvis and ovaries, which you will still have after a hysterectomy.

Yes: All women need yearly pelvic exams to monitor for problems that arent necessarily related to pap smears. Pap smears are no longer needed if the hysterectomy was performed for benign indications and there is no prior history of moderate or severe precancerous changes.
