No, : No, there is not blood thinning properties in lexapro, (escitalopram) but there are ingredients in Lexapro (escitalopram) that are especially irritable to the GI tract lining which can cause bleeding. Therefore taking blood thinning medications while taking Lexapro (escitalopram) can increase your risk of bleeding. Having said that, it is important that you talk to your doctor to advise that you are taking Lexapro (escitalopram) prior to having any surgery or procedure.

Lexapro (escitalopram): Being an ssri antidepressant, Lexapro (escitalopram) can affect the stickiness of platelets. It does not have Aspirin or other blood thinners in it, but it can cause bruising because of the platelet effects. Platelets have serotonin receptors on them, just as neurons do. One would want to be careful with any additional daily aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent, or coumadin.
