Diet, exercise, meds: Blood sugars are typically much higher after eating in people with diabetes. A glucose of 265 at any time of the day is consistent with diabetes. Sweets, carbohydrates, fruits, juice all cause sugars to rise after eating. Exercising after eating helps to lower sugars. There are particular diabetes meds that are more effective for sugars after eating like glitinides, glp-1. Dpp-iv, rapid insulin.
