Should i check my blood sugar levels at home with a glucose monitor?

With diabetes yes: Assuming you have diabetes, monitoring glucose is important for Insulin dosing, and is associated with better control even in patients who take only oral meds. Without diabetes, there is unlikely to be much benefit and monitoring is not indicated unless specifically advised for a defined reason. Healthy bodies are exceptional at regulating sugar.

Definitely: If you have diabetes, then the answer is definitely. Check both pre and post meal and at bedtime. Rotate your monitoring so you have a picture of what your glucose is throughout the day. It will help your doctor help you control your glucose and lower the risks of diabetes complications.
