Skin after laser: You should absolutely avoid the sun after any laser treatment or surgery. Sun damages skin, including any treatments performed on it and certainly contributes to sun spots and wrinkles. If you must be out--wear a hat, sunprotective clothing, and daily spf 30-50+. Staying on a good regimen after any laser resurfacing and sun avoidance will help make your results longer lasting and avoid more damage.

Yes!!: It is essential to avoid the sun immediately following your laser treatment. Your skin is more sun sensitive, and pigmentation issues are more likely for freshly-lasered skin. Speak to your doctor about this.
