Retin A (tretinoin): Is mainly prescribed for acne, not sure if it can be used for dark spots, ? off-label indication, in theory it helps skin rejuvenation, but exact mechanism of action isn't well known. Please consult a dermatologist, 2nd or even 3rd opinion is your right, good luck
