It depends...: An occasional skip can be quite normal, and in a young otherwise healthy person is best ignored. If it happens a lot, your best bet is to see your doctor and have an ECG taken. For events that happen only sporadically, you may be asked to wear a "holter monitor" that records all your heart beats for 1, 2 or 3 days. Hopefully these are just early beats and can be ignored.
