Pain : Pain control after facelift surgery is usually achieved with a combination medication such as oxycodone and Acetaminophen (this combination is the same as percocet). Typically patients need such heavy pain medication for only 2-3 days. After that, Acetaminophen alone or a safe anti-inflammatory, like celebrex, (celecoxib) can be used. The lifestyle lift is a brand-named procedure, but it typically represents a "mini-facelift" approach. Facelifts requiring less-invasive surgery may result in a small decrease in post-operative pain compared with traditional approaches. However, a less aggressive facelift approach may produce less dramatic improvement in your face.

Mini facelift: The lifestyle lift is a mini facelift, and should not be painful. However, consider seeing a board certified plastic surgeon in private practice who will take the time to answer your questions before surgery and take your phone calls after surgery, even after hours. Very droopy necks may need a facelift, rather than a mini facelift for a better, longer lasting result.
