Not certain: Inflammed has many meanings. Infection of the kidney called pyelonephritis can occur if infection moves up from bladder or via bloodstream. Renal stones can cause secondary inflamm. Intersitial nephritis, usually bilateral, from certain medications, autoimmune diseases and many other rarer causes.. Sometimes spillage of protein is sign of interstital nephrtitis. You should consult your doctor.
