No: Fatty liver does not usually cause enlargement -- if your liver is enlarged you need to be evaluated for other cause such as subacute alcoholic hepatitis or others -- and the pain in the right flank may also be caused by other musculoskeletal problem.

Isolated rib pain.: Hi angie, it's more likely to be isolated rib dysfunction then liver or kidney pain. Try doing some psoas muscle stretches (cobra position in yoga) and see if it goes away.
