Had surgery on foot. turns purple when i put it down. ? 6 days post op. unable to get in to dr because of weather

Tight bandage?: Is there excessive pain? If so this may be from a tight bandage. Contact your surgeon and see if he/she recommends loosening the outer wrap/ace bandage. A circulatory problem is possible as well. Is the skin cool? Probably not an emergency if not painful or cool, however, i would still call the surgeon's office/emergency line to be safe.
