Proper sleep hygiene: Develop proper sleep hygiene. By that i mean doing a few simple things regularly and consistently. First, have a good sleep environment--quiet, dark and a little cool. Establish a consistent bedtime, whether tired or not. Avoid any alcohol (at least 3 hrs before bedtime), as well as heavy meals, or exercise before bedtime. Don't watch tv, computer, or lighted screen. And don't clock watch either.
