Need good exam, xray: You need to get a good orthopedic exam of you hips and lumbar spine. You may need to undergo xrays and/or an MRI to further evaluate your problem you may require treatment with nsaids. Local injection or physical therapy which will likely alleviate your symptoms.

See below: I agree with previous answer. "hip pain" could be related to the hip joint, gluteal tendons, bursitis, si joints, lumbar spine, or other muscles that support the hip. In addition to an eval and imaging, diagnostic injections with anesthetic only could be used to localize the pain generator if you fail to improve with other conservative measures.
