Angiomas: Not every angioma needs an MRI or MRA to be evaluated. If there is a clear angioma on CT scan, and it is small, an MRI would probably not help. And in such a case, surgery could do more harm than good. If the diagnosis is not certain, than an MRI or MRA can help determine what it is. Do you mean a cavernous hemangioma? It should be removed only if it is deemed to be a risk.
