Tongue Patches: Possible drug reaction. See your doctor. This is especially true if there is any difficulty swallowing or facial swelling.

Perhaps Candida: The combination of being run down from his illness, the taking of steroids and an antibiotic are the perfect set-up to get an infection with the yeast candida.
