Yes : Sometimes eye drops are prescribed for the ears. That is ok. At least in the past, the ph of eye drops was more neutral than the drops used only for ears.

No: No. Ear, nose and throat specialists or otolaryngologists often prescribe ophthalmic antibiotic drops to treat ear infections. They are safe and effective for ear infections.

I was prescribed an eye drop containing (0.1% betamethasome and 10% sulfacetamide sodium) can this aggravate my tinnitus or cause any hearing loss.
Is sulfacetamide an appropriate Rx for an ear infection? I am allergic to benzyl peroxide. The package says "for eyes only."
