Just had an arthroscopy for a lateral meniscus tear just wondering how long it will be till the stiffness goes away?

6 weeks: It depends on the severity of the tear, the tightness of your knee, the presence of any additional problems in your knee that could not be addressed arthroscopically, and what, if any, additional work was done at the time orf your surgery. Typically you'll recover 15% to 20% per week for 5 to 6 weeks.

Week or two: With effort on your behalf to regain range of motion, stiffness usually resolves within 1-2 weeks following a simple arthroscopic meniscectomy.
