Ingrown toenail: A podiatrist would be the best doctor to evaluate and treat an ingrown toenail.

Either one: Both a dermatologist and podiatrist can help you with your problem. The podiatrist may be better equipped with the proper instruments to do the job.

Podiatrist: Internist will only prescribe an antibiotic if infected and refer you to a Podiatrist to clean or remove. We have all the fancy tools for it. In the past, GPs used to do it but not much anymore.
