Soak in: Warm salt water. Remove ingrown spicule of nail using a nail cutter.

You shouldn't.: An infection from an ingrown toenail can become serious. Soak the toe in warm water and epsom salts, apply an antibiotic cream and sterile band-aid then see a podiatrist w/in 2-3 days. If you start running a fever or get red streaking from the toe up into the foot go to the emergency room.
