Is there any correlation between the presence of a choroid plexus cyst at mid-pregnancy and autism?

Seems Not: There is no obvious association, as many non autistic situations have this happen.

Probably not: Choroid plexus cysts are identified with ultrasounds and reflect a disruption in in the formation of the organ that makes spinal fluid. There is a general observation that children with autism have an increased risk of all sorts of fetal abnormalities and birth complications, but the findings to date suggest that this is a correlation, not a cause of autism.

None: There is no clinical correlation in these structures which are not in the brain matter itself and makes CSF. I can tell you that imaging studies show correlation in the brain itself involving pathways of communication to and from its different areas. Hope this helps!
