How do you kill an exposed nerve in a tooth?

Root Canal: If a dental pulp has been exposed, it will require a root canal treatment if the tooth is to be saved. A series of small files and disinfectant rinses inside the tooth are used to accomplish this. The objective is not really 'killing' but complete removal of organic tissue once done and properly restored, there should be no symptoms and hopefully the tooth will be good for continued service.

Root canal: Root canal therapy or extraction is indicated if the nerve is exposed.
