Perhaps not lupus: First of all, to be clear, there is no such thing that we recognize as borderline lupus. You may have a low positive ANA test, which by itself does not mean anything and is usually over interpreted by physicians and patients alike. As for the numbness, lupus can cause a small fiber neuropathy (skin biopsy can diagnose) but usually not bodywide. Would think of conditions leading to a neuropathy.
