Why would i be getting pain that seems to be coming from a vein in the back of my left hand, what could this be?

Vein: We see that after an IV or a trauma to the vein. It is a form of superficial phlebitis or might be a sore tendon and not the vien. A dioc would have to be sure.

Hand veins?: Veins in the hand rarely cause pain unless they are inflamed or clotted. One of the more common cause of a bulging on the top surface of the had or wrist is a ganglion and this can cause pain. See a vein specialist who can then determine if the cause of your pain is a vein and treat it and, if not, refer you to the appropriate MD.
