Couple of Options: This could represent one of a couple of possibilities. The most common of these would be a supraventricular tachycardia. Other problems such as premature contractions or non-sustained ventricular tachycardias could also cause this. Evaluation by a cardiologist using something called an event monitor or holter monitor can provide additional information.
