Yes: Depending on the stage of your pregnancy, medication can be given. The anesthesiologist will discuss this with you beforehand ro advise you of the risks of the medications to the fetus. The later you are in the pregnancy, the lower the risks to the baby.

See below: Be sure that the colonosocpy is absolutely necessary. If it is purely elective, put it off until after delivery. Otherwise i agree with dr kline.
