A member asked:

I am out of town and won't be back home until saturday and i'm fairly sure i have strep. is it safe to wait til then to go to the doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: The purpose of treating strep throat is to prevent the subsequent development of post-streptococcal complications, like rheumatic fever, and the earlier you receive treatment the better. See a local doctor now, or go to and urgent care clinic and they may have a nurse practitioner available.
