A member asked:

Is it safe for children to have eye surgery to correct farsightedness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not advisable: As the child grows, farsightedness will diminish naturally. Lasik surgery for a child will not be stable and the end result is unpredictable. Best to wear eyeglasses and in some cases contact lenses.
