Choices: Lasik can be used to correct low to moderate hyperopia (farsightedness) but it's use is far more limited than it is for myopia (nearsightedness). Refractive lens exchange is another option, particularly with a multifocal lens implant. There are various non-lasik laser treatments of the cornea that have had various success with hyperopia over the years but they are not commonly performed.
