Don't screen w/CEA: Cea (carcinoembryonic antigen) is not meant to be used as a screening test for cancer as many cancers don't produce it and smoking can raise the value, leading to unwarranted worry and further invasive testing to dispel said worry. Check out http://labtestsonline.Org/understanding/analytes/cea/tab/test for more info, especially it's proper use & role.
