CEA is not a diagnostic test for cancer, any cancer. Given your history, you should get a colonoscopy by the time you turn 38 years of age. Discuss it with your doctor. The CEA is not a good screening test for colon cancer and should never be used as such. It is used mainly to follow patients who have had it looking for recurrence. That having been said since you did it I would see a gastroenterologist for evaluation with physical exam, stool testing for blood etc.
