Club foot: Club foot is a birth defect that occurs in 1 out of 1000 births in the us with boys being twice as affected as girls. There is no way to determine if a new born will have a club foot unless a sibling had the same disorder. In such an instance, there is a 2.5% chance of another sibling having a club foot. Usually the opposite foot is normal, but there can be mild cases of metatarsus adductus.
