Is possible: Glad it was taken care of earlier. You can always get a second opinion from an osteopathic physician who can do a complete musculoskeletal examination of your neck, back, hips, pelvis, sacrum, legs, feet to see where you may still have tightness or somatic dysfunction to help you regain better mobility of your ankles, or need orthotics (arch supports) too. Plus, receive treatment!

Who knows? Careful..: Joint flexibility (range of motion or rom) varies among people and change over time because we're not born equal and don't live in the same lifestyle. But, exercise common sense to respect and listen to the body to practice healthy lifestyle without overindulgence and obsession to keep ourselves moving and stretching as much as you can; that will do the trick to make our body nimble to its best.

Common problem: I find decreased ankle flexibility in more than half my patients. Some have this from very early on as a congenital shortening of the achilles tendon. Most kid activities today do not involve those that would stretch this tendon ; play gradually builds the calf muscle, aggravating the problem. Doing squats, wall pushes, dips and using bungee cords to pull the forefoot up in a figure 8 movement can help.
