Sore ankle: A sprained ankle many times is worse than breaking a bone because it takes longer for the ligaments around the ankle to heal properly. At two months post ankle injury, the ligaments are still healing and stiffness may occur. You should start with a pt program twice a week, a home stretching program , proper shoe gear and custom made orthoses.
