Midfoot fractures: Depending on the location, a midfoot fracture can occur with forces ranging from minor to major. Dancing, ankle inversion injuries, motor vehicle accident, falls from heights & horses and sports can all cause midfoot fractures/dislocations. Treatment of these injuries depends on the type and severity. Surgery is sometimes required. You doctor must evaluate your injury & determine the treatment.

Fall, car accident: Midfoot fractures are usually high velocity injuries caused by falls and car accidents. If you are hit by a car behind your car your foot may hit the pedal or floor board as you are propelled forward and causes your foot to fold in half.
