Don't play doctor!: Asthma can be a very severe problem. Seek continuity care with a primary care or board certified allergist. There are no otc medications in the usa for asthma.

See below: Identify any triggers of her asthma that may be causing it to be uncontrolled such as new activities that she has started where she may be allergic to something, new carpeting at home, a new pet, new laundry or cosmetic products, mold, uncleaned ducts etc. If not, work closely with your doctor, she may need more medication.
