Markers/family: There are different forms of asthma, and a child's genetic history is an important aspect. In addition, if your child has had a history of eczema, allergic rhinitis or other allergic conditions, the likelihood of asthma is higher. Please discuss having lab testing to include serum IgE, CBC, differential and platelets, allergy panel testing. The results may be uploaded to a Healthtap inbox consult.
