Not usually: Average of sleep we need as an adult is about 7-8 hours. There is a small portion of population who sleep much less, wake up refreshed and stay concentrated and functional during the day. They are called "short sleeper". All of studies reveals that people out of normal range of above mentioned average of sleep should expect shorter life expectancy.
