How do you help someone who stops breathing from an asthma attack?

It depends: If a person is having difficulty breathing due to an asthma attack, then they should receive albuterol, a common asthma rescue medication. If a person is not breathing due to an asthma attack, then lifesaving measures must be taken by initiating CPR and calling 911. Subsequent care by authorities will focus on treating the underlying asthma attack.

Rescue breaths...: If someone stops breathing from any cause, they would need artificial ventilation. This could be in the form of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until rescue personell arrive. Call 911 immediately and they can instruct you on what to do until help arrives.
