Most common : Cause of heel pain is plantar fascitis which can be treated by a foot doctor. Most often, not related to a disease though it could.

Many possibilities: Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present. Heel pain may also be due to other causes, such as, diabetic neuropathy, infection, tendonitis, arthritis, stress fracture, nerve irritation, retained foreign body, bone tumor, or a cyst. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Calves too tight: The cause of you heel pain is calves that are too tight in almost every case. Stretch your calves 3 min. 3 times everyday and you will get over it.

Heel pain: Apparently everyone has tight calf muscles. Wrong - see your podiatrist for proper treatment and guidance - you will be glad you did.

Plantar Fasciitis: Most likely not from a disease. Probably biomechanical. Excessive strain on the plantar fascia (ligament on bottom of foot), leads to pain, inflammation. See a doctor for definite diagnosis. Avoid barefoot walking and try some over the counter arch supports.
