Can't tell by PSA: Total psa is high, but doesn't tell whole story. Prostate size relates to total psa more than presence of ca. Free and total psa values add more detail to answer question. Stiil won't really matter as much as the biopsies themselves.

Biopsy: Is better not to assume. The results using the gleason score is the way to tell if you have prostate ca and what treatment is needed based on your overall health, and expected life expectancy (< or > 5 years). The experience of your urologist is important good luck on your biopsy.

Await biopsy results: Psa is a marker for prostate cancer, but it is not very specific, since it can be elevated in enlarged prostates or infections. For this reason, we try not to cause undue anxiety with a prediction. Risk calculators do exist, based on the results of 5, 519 men from the placebo arm of the pcpt trial.
