Antibody: Anti-thyroglobulin is an antibody directed at the thyroid gland can be cause foe hypothyroidism. The thyroid contains sequestered proteins. Proteins that are not exposed to the immune system while we develop in utero. If immune system is exposed can mount immune response that slowly destroys thyroid over time. Look up hashimotos thyroiditis.
