I'm trying to cut back on sugars. so, i am taking out one of my coffees a day. but i still need the caffeine. how safe are caffeine pills like nodoz?

Safe: They are safe in limited quantity but the problem is when people take too many and experience caffeine intoxication.

Consider aspartame, stevia, or saccharine in your coffee. Sucralose only if it does not upset your stomach or give you gas & diarrhea. Coffee has no calories & its warmth can be filling as well. Adding sugar &/or milk/cream makes it junk food, practically speaking. Any long term effects of artificial sweeteners (if any) will not be evident sooner than the long term effects of too much sugar/fat.
