I tend to drink coffee and green tea a lot, yesterday i had bad pains in my left arm and wondered if the caffeine can do that. do i need to cut back?

Careful w Caffeine: Hi. Could caffeinated coffee and tea cause pain in your left arm? Probably not. More likely musculoskeletal in origin. However they are mildly stimulating and might increase heartrate and palpitations. If for some reason you have Angina or heart ischemia you might get referred arm pain. Need to be careful to exclude heart problems before saying for sure. Dr Lori Lange- Pennsylvania
