Tooth extraction: In this scenario, the tooth needs to be removed. I would recommend looking for a free dental clinic orgoing to the er. Antibiotics will only prevent infection until you get the tooth extracted.

Depends: Different dentists have different definitions of what a surgical extraction is. You might be able to find a dentist who will not consider this a surgical extraction, but rather a simple extraction. It all depends on how far down the root the split is. If money is really tight, you might seek care in a dental school or teaching hospital, or a community clinic.

Simple extraction?!?: First of all, there is no such thing as a "simple extraction". Of course; if there is infection, antibiotics should be taken. This will not solve the "problem" for very long. Most emergency rooms will not be able to "solve the problem". Tooth removal by a dentist is the answer.
